Special Activities Scheduled to Celebrate Child Life Month

ACH Child Life Staff

March is Child Life Month! All Children's Hospital is proud to recognize our Child Life Specialists who make up an important part of our multidisciplinary team. They provide services at our main hospital and Outpatient Care, Tampa. Each of these specialists is trained in child development theory, applying that knowledge to helping patients cope and have a positive experience during their hospital stay.

A variety of special activities have been scheduled for our patents during March to celebrate Child Life Month.

March 4  2:30 p.m. - Fun with Dr. Seuss
ACH Children's Auditorium

Join the St. Petersburg Women's Club for a fun afternoon all about Dr. Suess. Club members will help patients with crafts focused on a variety of Dr. Seuss books. The Cat in the Hat will also make a special appearance.

March 6 Noon - 2:00 p.m. Celebrate Child Life Month
ACH Rooftop Playground

Come help kick off Child Life month. Patients, families and ACH staff are invited to come to the rooftop playground on the second floor of the main hospital to join in on the fun. There will be exciting activities, a teddy bear clinic, snacks, and much more.

March 28 - 2:30-3:30 Home Depot Woodworking Project
ACH Children's Auditorium

Home Depot will provides woodworking kits that will allow patients to have fun building and painting. They also get an orange apron and a certificate upon completing their project.
